A dedicated farmer, a loving father and an adoring husband
It is with deep sadness and sorrow that Mosisedi Commercial Farmers Association announces the untimely passing of its Secretary General, Katso Tshipinare, a founding member of the Association who was instrumental in its establishment and operation. Together with other members, Tshipinare conceptualised the idea of Mosisedi and set its objectives, mandate and strategic direction. He later became its founding Secretary General.
Tshipinare was also instrumental in setting up and sustaining the various projects and partnerships that Mosisedi enjoys today. He worked tirelessly to facilitate the setting up of Mosisedi Service Centre, scouting for partnerships and eventually identifying foreign investors in pursuance of this milestone. Sadly, he passed away just when his dream was about to become reality.
It was Tshipinare who pushed tirelessly for the electrification of Mosisedi farms, and forged memoranda of understanding with various entities like the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA). Tshipinare was the man behind the strategic placement of Mosisedi and he lived the brand wherever he went. He was also an excellent and dedicated farmer who worked tirelessly at his farm in pursuit of his lifelong passion of ensuring food security for the nation of Botswana.
An Economist by profession who worked for the Bank of Botswana (BoB) before joining Barclays Bank, Tshipinare was a knowledgeable banker and economist who employed his professional skills to complement his first passion; farming. We will always cherish fond memories of Tshipinare, and his passing is a great loss to the Mosisedi family, the farming community and the nation at large. May his soul rest in peace.
