Rest in eternal Peace Sir QKJ Masire

A righteous man that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. The African Methodist Episcopal church (AME) “Men fellowship” is also taking this time to send its heartfelt condolences to the legend, father of the nation and the Champion of democracy Sir Ketumile Masire’s family and Batswana at large. We pray that his soul rest in eternal peace. The man who feared No evil, being the custodian of the ‘Psalms 23’ though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he had his trust in the Lord hence his successful presidential term. Ra Gaone as he was commonly addressed, protected all Christian and moral values including Truth, reconstruction, honesty, love and more impotantanly that he was champion of Reconciliation and Peace. This shows how our father was a friend to the Church/ Christian family in general as they shared a vision. A progressive leader, an advanced Agrarian, an activist of repute…QKJ was an advocate development, he shunned corruption in its all forms.We will always remember the impact he made not only in the life of the church but in the lives of individuals who were around him, who knew him and those who heard of him and his leadership principles. Though we understand how the death of Mongwaketse took happiness from the hearts of Batswana, a wound that no one will ever fill, we encourage the family and Batswana to remember the words of Horatio Spafford “When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,

It is well, it is well with my soul.’’ Your life will be terribly missed, you were loved by all of us and you will be cherished in our memories forever Ra Gee… Apostle Paul teaches us from the book of Corinthians that, for we know that if our earthly house is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven…Ra Gee has gone to rest where there is peace and no fights, where there is love and No animosity and where there is transparency and No Venality. Lastly prophet Isaiah says, “Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death” (Isaiah 57:2).
