Support children with special needs

Thank you so much for coming in droves for today and all the numerous occasions that you had supported us. I had been on this journey with the Ambrose Trust for some time and I can tell you that journeys like this are riddled with obstacles and tears. Oh there have been so many tears. Special needs are a difficult topic, I have learned.

As tough as this journey has been, there have been some success; some milestones, however rare and far in between they are. Today is one of those milestones. We were walking in support of quality education for special needs children. This is a journey that this Trust has been advocating since its inception and I had aligned myself with it over the last couple of years.

SEE ALSO:

It is when you throw yourself into this fight for better quality for special needs children that you see the true extent of the problem. The support from various organizations is limited or non-existent. Be that as it may, fighting and advocating for what is right is absolutely worth it. And what we are doing today is absolutely worth it.

I have since my time with the Trust seen the importance of an enabling environment centered on quality education on any special needs children.  I have witnessed their confidence grow and their social skills expand because of this enabling environment that we so much seek for them. I pray that this journey continues to grow and those with power and authority to act will take all-necessary actions to assist and make an impact where it is needed the most.

SEE ALSO:

It is when the ordinary human beings team up and stand up for what is right that we begin to see a difference. I have seen that today when parents walked in unity with their special needs children. I hope that the tenacity shown by the parents and our supporters causes a ripple effect that will result in meaningful progress on the plight of special needs children.
