BancABC and the India Botswana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) announced a partnership for the review of the Botswana’s national budget. The event was held at the Maharaja Conference Centre.

We as BancABC are equipped and committed to serving the banking needs of the India-Botswana community at large, and are confident that this partnership will grow to become a fruitful, symbiotic association going forth “ said the BancABC Managing Director, Jitto Kurian.
IBCC is a trade and commercial body set up to better serve the interests of the Indian business community, in view of the growing bilateral trade between India and Botswana and an increased contribution of the Indian community in development of Botswana.
The Chairman of the IBCCI Gopal Addanki said his organisation was set up to facilitate and promote trade and networking within the Botswana-Indian Business community, and serve ass platform for its members to discuss, debate, and to act on issues of common interest.
“We are honoured that BancABC acceded our request to partner with us for this key activity in the IBCCI calendar. As we propel the bilateral economic and social interests of the India-Botswana business community, it is important to have partners that are geared up to provide us with the necessary support to enable us to deliver on our mandate. We believe BancABC is such a partner, and continues to demonstrate the desire to provide support and add value to the IBCCI activities,” he said.
The Group Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for BancABC Mabouba Diagne shared implications of the recent acquisition of BancABC by London Stock Exchange listed financial services company, AtlasMara.
“Now more than ever, we understand the value of a strong support system. We are now able to tap into the AtlasMara vault of resources for additional capital and liquidity, as well as technological and human capital support. The bank is able to also tap into AltasMara experience and its presence in other markets, to leverage off of the Group’s expertise and bring international and regional best practice to Botswana,” asserted Dr. Diagne.
