Short term insurance company Zurich Insurance Botswana on Thursday celebrated its 40 years anniversary which coincided with the official opening of new offices at the Fairscape Tower at Fairgrounds. The event was also used to welcome the new company CEO, Dziki Nganunu, who was appointed to the position last year September. Besides celebrating four decades of operation, the company’s relocation to the Fairscape presence shows commitment to the industry, Nganunu said. He said the company’s focus is on quality service delivery in addition to making the turnaround of the organisation. The move to such location, he said will help them achieve that.

Furthermore, he said they will focus on training and development of their staff with plans underway to start a graduate development programme. For his part, CEO of Zurich Insurance Company South Africa Limited and chairman of Zurich Botswana, John Edwyn O’Neill said  the 40 years show how far the company has come, adding that their long existence has also resulted in growth in profits. He said the business continues to grow year on year and premium income grew by 12 percent last year.
