FNB Botswana on Wednesday launched a new digital banking solution – eWallet Bulk Send, an amplified version of FNB eWallet. The eWallet Bulk Send allows business account holders to send money to multiple recipients at a go through the Online Banking Enterprise platform. The solution supports business account holders to perform multiple eWallets payments to an unlimited number of recipients. It is available through FNB Online Banking Enterprise for business accounts. FNBB Business Director, Ogone Madisa-Kgwarae, said the eWallet Bulk Send solution augment the bank efforts to promote financial inclusion by banking the unbanked since the recipients do not need to have a bank account. The solution works in such a way that when a business account customer uses eWallet Bulk Send, an electronic transaction is created to send funds from their account to their chosen list of recipient mobile numbers. Recipients can then withdraw funds from any FNB ATMS or Slim line ATMS across the country. The eWallet Bulk Send solution comes after the introduction of eWallet for individual transactions in 2010, and to date, over P3 billion is said to have been sent to recipients since then.
