Three counters closed the day on the red on Thursday with only two companies’ share prices moving upwards. For the first time since listing, BTCL share price dropped below the listing price of 100 Thebe, losing 2 Thebe to trade at 98 Thebe per share. The loss was the second one since the beginning of the week. Barclays and Furnmart were the other two companies that suffered a loss in share price, shedding 1 Thebe and 10 Thebe respectively to trade at 463 Thebe and 90 Thebe separately. Choppies was the only counter on the domestic equity to register a positive price change, gaining 4 Thebe to trade at 404 Thebe while Botswana Diamonds on the foreign equity gained a Thebe to trade at 33 Thebe per share. The equity market generated a turnover of P3, 754,649.53 following the trading of a total volume of 515,014 shares.
