BTCL share price continued with its upward trajectory on Monday when it closed the day trading at 102 Thebe having gained 0.02 Thebe; this being the first time that the stock had exceeded its listing value. The company’s share price has launched a come-back since December last year and is now past its Initial Public Offering (IPO) price of 100 Thebe. BTCL spokesperson, Golekanye Molapisi said the recovery of the share price is good news to investors who have seen the price struggle for quite some time reaching as low as 85 Thebe. “We are happy that the company is valuable as reflected by the rising share price,” Molapisi said on Monday. BIHL was the only other company besides BTCL which started the week on a positive note, having gained a Thebe to end the day trading at 1755 Thebe a share. There were no further movements across the board as the second week of the year began. The equity market produced a turnover of P3, 363,270.67 after trading of 724,448 shares.
