The local bourse was vibrant on Thursday as a number of counters registered positive movements on their share price. A total of five counters gained value while only one moved downwards. Letshego and New African Properties (NAP) were the biggest gainers of the day, gaining 10 Thebe each to end the day trading at 216 Thebe and 315 Thebe respectively. They were followed by Chobe which gained 2 Thebe to trade at 802 Thebe per share. Barclays, which today announced its financial results for the year-ended 31 December 2016, gained a Thebe to trade at 553 Thebe a share. BTCL, which has been enjoying remarkable increase on its share price, gained a Thebe as well to trade at 126 Thebe per share.
Only Sefalana was the loser on the day shedding 2 Thebe to end the day trading at 1070 Thebe per share. A total volume of 5,402,975 shares were traded, generating turnover of P11, 715,607.78.
