Abarìcom launched

ICT industry player Abari Communications has re-launched under a new identity - Abaricom. The company is a trusted internet provider to major companies like Masa Square Hotel, FNBB, Hollard and Stanbic. The company was launched in Botswana in 2009 to provide the services in data, connectivity, and network integration among others. Company CEO Neo Nwako said they decided to re-launch because they realised that even though their clients know them and what they do most Batswana are not aware of that. He said they have faced many obstacles. “How you react to situations makes you the person that you are now and the person that you will be tomorrow,” he said. He said as a 100% Botswana-owned company they are positive about their prospects. “Our new vision is to be Botswana’s best service provider in infotainment and we want to make sure that Batswana all over the country have the same access and quality in our services,” he said. When giving his testimonial Masa Square Hotel Managing Director Greg Soutter said since they started using Abari they have been enjoying a great service where even their clients are happy with their connectivity.

The guest of honour was tech guru Aki Anastaciou who gave a great presentation about technology and how it can make the world a better place. Anastaciou acknowledged Nwako for being a true inspiration and having passion about what he does. He said as someone who has followed technology for a very long time, it is important that as Africans they become providers of technological solutions. “As a continent we have the opportunities and we should keep up with the evolution of technology,” he said, giving examples of how technology has transformed the world looking at companies like Alibaba which is multibillion dollar company. “How many twitter accounts are connected every second, YouTube videos and all other things you will realise the importance of connectivity because the possibilities with it are endless,” he said.
