Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) has partnered with FNBB in introducing a new self-service platform which is accessible through cellphone and website. This offers customers an opportunity to pay their water bill from the convenience of any location. The corporation CEO Mmetla Masire said this is to be abreast with information technology developments for customers’ convenience. He said during the launch on Tuesday that one can do everything at their own pace and time. Customers are also able to use the facility to report leakers to WUC and request outstanding bill statements. For his part FNBB CEO Steven Bogatsu said this will assist customers to access services easily and will no longer need to form long queues at payment points to settle bills. To use the cellphone, users need to disclose their card numbers, Card Verification Value and expiry date as well as customer contract numbers with WUC. The service is available across all cellular networks as well as on the corporation website.
