Pele Moleta has resigned as CEO of Botswana Post. There was no immediate explanation of what led to his resignation after what many have termed a successful six years as CEO of the parastatal.
His resignation was announced on Thursday at a short press briefing. Botswana Postal Services Board of Directors chairman, Polokoetsile Motau, who was supposed to address the media didn’t show up, leaving Head of Strategy and Communications Lebogang Bok to distribute a short press release to the journalists.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I hereby confirm receipt of the resignation of Botswana Post Chief Executive, Pele Moleta,” said part of the statement. Motau said at this stage there is no detail to share as the matter is with the appointing authority, Minister of Transport and Communication.
