At the moment high teas have become popular events where classy people come together to have fun. One such event - Lifestyle High Tea – takes place at the Botanical Gardens on October 24th. The organiser Nana Kgosidialwa said their high tea is for all as long as someone is a woman. She said on the agenda are issues affecting a business woman, a stay at home mum or a young lady.
Kgosidialwa, who runs Lifestyle Avenue, said they decided to venture into this because they have noticed a niche in the market. “The people who will come to the event will be empowered, learn from each other and basically have a good laugh,” she said. She said they want people to get accustomed to a certain lifestyle and also enhance a woman’s life positively. There will be different speakers for the day to discuss beauty, hair, spirituality, health, makeup and skincare and image.
Kgosidialwa said women should come there to be empowered and enhance their lifestyles so that they understand how to carry themselves. She said they will continue to have a lot of lifestyle events that are aimed at their market, which is a woman who wants to have laid back fun. Usually a high tea is seen as a symbolic representation of royalty and elegance with a lot of style and etiquette.
Fiona Bolesetse said that is the reason why she has never attended any because she has always thought it is just for the posh people who can afford expensive restaurants and resorts. Kgosidialwa said people like Bolesetse should not worry but should just come and enjoy with them because the tickets just cost a mere P200 and they can come out of the event revived.
