American dancer and choreographer Reyna Joy Banks will be in Botswana again next month for the arts and entertainment expo that will see her grilling and inspiring women in Botswana. The workshop is deemed ‘Destined Women’.  She will be with Brely Evans – an actress, lifestyle leader, motivational speaker and singer. Brely has featured in films like Sparkle, Just Wright and the 2015 one The Deal, The dance and The Devil. She also appeared in the hit series Being Mary Jane. The Programme Coordinator Tshepiso Tebogo-Maruping of Dreams Alive Club said the workshop will only be attended by those 18 years and above at Maitisong on December 5.
It will be a full day workshop with talks and book signings. There will also be stalls for women and fun dance workshops with the ladies. “Reyna’s book will be sold at the workshop,” she said. Some of the topics that are expected to be discussed at the workshop are the elements in Reyna’s book which is titled “The Thirty Day Journey to Loving the Woman in Me”.
Maruping said the book is developed to help many women who might feel overwhelmed, lacking self-confidence or experiencing discouragement. TV/Film actress Brely will also give a presentation at the Women’s workshop on her movement Water Walkers International. This is expected to inspire and encourage women in areas of entrepreneurship and in developing healthy relationships. She said the reason why Reyna is coming to Botswana again is because she loved the whole experience in her first visit to the country early this year.
Dreams Alive movement is an outreach programme that seeks to bring quality arts programming, mentorship and skills development to Botswana youth and artists. Maruping said they chose to bring the two Americans based on their versatile experiences in both the Christian faith and secular entertainment industries. “They are great examples of Women using their gift to inspire and impart into other Women – so that they can also be empowered to step into their Destiny without limitations,” she said.
