St Louis Lager, an easy drinking beer which has been fine filtered for a crisp, fresh taste has been offering Batswana long lasting refreshment since 1989, at the same time inspiring them to celebrate the now. A trait that is inherent on Botswana’s culture as Batswana don’t wait for those special occasions to celebrate but rather find those uncomplicated enjoyment in every day pleasures.
It is through this unique trait that St Louis lager found it befitting to celebrate the grand opening of summer, as the season forms part of the fabric of the target audience culture. Fresh Fest was originally launched in 2012 as Summer Splash Fest, a first of its kind in Botswana as it gave consumers and music fans the opportunity to pick the line up of the event from a group of 15 artists and 15 DJs.
And this year things are no different, we’re back again, this time with a rebranded experience in line with the new St Louis brand positioning that launched in 2014.
According to KBL’s Marketing Manager for Mainstream Brands, Mpho Motlhabane; "Fresh fest places St. Louis lager at the heart of summer celebrations, something that Batswana do every year and this is what sets the brand apart as it merely facilitates what the target audience has already been doing all the years."
With this in mind Fresh Fest has lined up 11 of Botswana and 4 South Africa’s top acts including: ATI, Zeus, Black Coffee , Cassper Nyovest, Sasa Klass, Uhuru, Busiswa, Dramaboi , MMP family, Samantha Mogwe and Botswana’s finest Dj’s .There will also be a host of activities some of which have never been seen in Botswana before. Activities like a Zorb ball experience, a dance competition with prizes and a St Louis sun dial, the first of its kind that uses the sun to point out amazing drinks specials.
Summer’s Grand Opening Festival takes place at Gaborone Club on November 28 and it will run from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
