In its efforts to become at par with the rest of the world in offering services at the airport, Air Botswana launched airport shuttles that help carry the passengers to the aircraft. Gone are the days that people will be boarding and then tracking on their feet to access the aircraft, even though it was not that far away. Sir Seretse Khama International Airport has following recent expansion and upgrading enhanced its offerings to travellers, marked by easiness and style. Air Botswana Marketing Manager Thapelo Moribame said the two buses were bought last year with the assistance of their shareholder, the government of Botswana. According to Moribame, this is because in some instances passengers have been exposed to some harsh weather conditions when walking to or from the airport. “Besides protecting the passengers from the weather elements, the buses provide safety on the inside,” she said. Moribame added that the buses are able to move a large number quickly between the terminal building and aircraft. One of the buses is currently branded by Orange.
