Stanbic Molapo Piazza will host a fun fitness brunch on April 7 as part of the World Fitness Day commemoration. Thato Mahube of Amazing Services said that fun fitness parties were a new exciting movement geared towards promoting the fun side of fitness. She said fitness was important in fighting lifestyle diseases. “Mostly people don’t know the cause and prevention of diseases such as high blood pressure, sugar diabetes, heart disease etc,” she said. The event will have health and fitness experts who will equip people to make healthy and informed choices on what they eat and the different exercises to undertake. “At Fun Fitness Brunch Party, we believe that you only have one body to live in, if you don’t take care of it, come and hear how best to do it from the experts,” she said. Among fitness specialists that will grace the event are Mmamotse Maloka from South Africa, Zumba instructor Hope Buyani, Awareness Coach and Meditation by Mother Masire, Malebogo Eluya - a dietician, and Psychologist Lulu Tlale. “People will enjoy fun exercises, healthy delicious food, massages, life changing advices on meal plans and exercises,” she said. She promised that this year’s event will be bigger as they have included a demonstration of quick healthy meals by a Chef and stall exhibition by companies. Mahube said that they will also be introducing Streetwork which is a form of exercise that is new where it will be done by two international Calisthenics individuals Sizwe Makhaya – the 2014 world champion and Donald Neosapien.
