Hollywood Actors Tasha Smith and Morocco Omari will be in Botswana next month to participate in workshops hosted by Dreams Alive Club. The club had previously hosted other Hollywood artists in Reyna Joy Banks and Brely Evans. Smith is an accomplished actor who has acted in so many films among them ‘Why Did I get Married’, ‘Jumping the Broom’ and ‘Addicted’. Omari stars in the hit television series ‘Empire’ and has also featured in ‘Prison Break’. He is also a producer and a director. Dreams Alive Chairperson Tshepiso Tebogo-Maruping said they bring these seasoned actors to Botswana to inspire the young people who would want to become global stars. She revealed that Smith owns an acting school in Hollywood, and as such the young people will have the opportunity to also have those skills imparted to them. “She doesn’t only touch on acting itself, that is why the workshop will have women empowerment evening session where she will be inspiring women on different issues and entrepreneurship,” she said. Omari will offer insights on the basis of script writing, production and theatre and mingle with participants to address their individual challenges.
