Kgalalelo Gabotsalwe celebrated her 30th birthday in style by sharing her special moment with children at Childline Centre in Gaborone on May 10. The make-up artist and designer said of her gesture: “I believe as you enter 30 it is the best decade ever where life starts to show you its true colours and you better be ready to dance to the tunes too,” she said. The party was organised by one of the volunteers at Childline Thato Masebo. Gabotsalwe was drawn to tears. “I don’t have enough words of gratitude to express how I feel but I am ready to live my life like it is golden and show that through deeds,” she said, adding that kindness, the spirit of giving, caring and appreciating the little things in life will matter more for her going forward. Childline’s Nnete Rankeke said that they need people to always help the kids, and Masebo’s involvement as a heath practitioner who does health screenings and teaches them about communicable diseases. Masebo has great passion for giving as a way of reshaping one’s destiny and making people not to forget the vulnerable ones. “These kids deserve to be loved too. Some have never celebrated a birthday in reality so celebrating with them was a great move,” she said.
