Mascom has launched MascomDIY to enable its customers to access their services through their phones without having to call the help desks or going to the Mascom offices for assistance. Mascom Product Management Officer Matlhogonolo Maje said the app was designed to allow customers to solve their problems easily with the self-service solution. “This will help customers resolve their issues while on the go and it is available to both prepaid and post-paid,” he said. Maje said there will not be any data charges in using the app – customers will only be charged during download and registration while afterwards it will be for free. The app will only be used by those using smartphones and it is only available in android platforms at the moment. He said that it will soon be available in the IOS and Microsoft phones. Maje said this will be very convenient in buying services and help in dealing with queues at the Mascom outlets. The app can also be used in any other device as long as it has a browser. There is the basic and complete access, where the basic access will let someone use and buy services only for themselves without the many details, but the complete access provides all details and full access to all the services where it can only be granted fully at a Mascom retail outlet after verification for security purposes. Tsholetsang Ikgopoleng, Head of Customer Management, said their customers matter a lot to them, and as such they will always make sure that they put them forward in everything that they do.
