‘Unleash You Star Qualities’ facilitator Socca Moruakgomo has hailed the quality of talent they have selected and placed in a boot camp in Mochudi. He said they will be ready to showcase an exceptional production in September because the artists have been putting in a lot of work. The programme is a partnership between The Ministry of Education and Skills Development and Limkokwing University. When the programme was launched the Minister of Education and Skills Development Dr Unity Dow said performing arts and cultural tourism have been reviewed in order to bring outcomes and help young people make a living out of them.

Moruakgomo said that is exactly what is happening with the young people who are on the camp because they are also getting allowance. These young people were out of school and will now get a chance to be accredited by Limkokwing University. The artists are doing a musical and theatre, and they have recently been joined by a live band. The artists are in intensive training in singing, dancing and acting. “We have made big progress in our third month. At the moment we are doing the theme song and there has never been a break. This is a serious boot camp,” he said. Limkokwing’s Onalenna Phambuka said they now know that the promise of the future of entrepreneurs who will build businesses and cultural enterprises have been unlocked. Phambuka said creative industries will be taken to new heights by providing a unique and creative talent fresh of new ideas.
