Thor optimistic of winning final

With three days to the finals the World’s Strongest Man Hafthor Bjornsson, who is everyone’s favorite, says he is very optimistic about the finals. He won the dumb bell press in his category on Tuesday and he couldn’t be more excited. He brought around his mother, father, brother, girlfriend and trainer and he says those are the people that push him to be anything that he wants to be. He appreciated the support Botswana is giving him. “The crowd gives me the reason to push forward because whenever I get on the stage they give me the support, and that gives me confidence,” he says. He says that he knows the competition intensifies as the final approaches and he is willing to do whatever it takes to come up tops at the finals. On Wednesday and Thursday they will be resting and will be touring Kasane with due on Friday for Frame Carry, Circus bell and Dead Lift. The ultimate highlight will be when the contestants compete to pull an aircraft. “I can’t wait for the finals, and hopefully I get the crown because Batswana have been so amazing. They are very nice cheerful people.” he says. He goes by the motto “There is no reason to live if you can’t dead lift.”
