One of Botswana’s most celebrated artists Odirile ‘Vee’ Sento will be launching his new album ‘I do’ at Stanbic Bank Molapo Piazza which he aims to fill up. Having been helped to stardom by Orange Botswana in his early days of music, the cellular phone service provider has thrown its weight behind his new album launch set for December 10, 2016. This is Vee’s 13th studio album and has been dedicated to his wife Kagiso. He is excited to have remained a massive crowd puller over the years. In the latest album he has collaborated with about 14 international artists among them Naak Musiq, Professor, DJ Maphorisa, Sfiso Ncwane, Jah Prayzah and African Roots. Most of these artists are South Africans and Vee’s aim in collaborating with them was to be able to see his music penetrating South Africa, the rest of Africa and eventually the world.
He thanked Orange Botswana for the immense support it had given him. “My relationship with Orange started in 2005 and since then they have always been by my side. I am very grateful because Orange is a big brand,” he said. He gushed about the coming album launch show, saying it will be very exciting. Orange Botswana’s Carol Kgafela said that they are very happy to associate with brand that Vee has developed into. She said they have always had a relationship with the artist. “You can’t just ignore Vee; he has reinvented himself through the years and we now see him going international, and we need that brand visibility for our product,” she said.
