A lifestyle company De kool and Magheng will on February 25 host an event dubbed the Mardi Gras Pool Party in Gaborone. The event follows some that were held at Berry Bliss guest house every month. Their first event was on December 17, 2016. De Kool and Magheng’s Thato Motladiile said they choose a relevant theme every month to promote the young and aspiring fashion designers, social designers and lifestyle designers to be able to make a living out of their talent by sharing ideas with experts from the industry. “The event is well organised and it always leaves revellers refreshed, inspired with renewed confidence,” he said.

He said they decided to come up with the initiative after realising that there was a growing need for professional development, networking and leisure that is not only fun but rather worthwhile. The event only targets 65 guests where they usually have employees, customers, and suppliers coming together for deeper connection and information sharing.

“Each month we select an interesting theme which is relevant to that month, and that is why the theme for the next month is Mardi Grass where the dress code will be masks, beads, crown hats and parade,” he said. They are inspired to continue on with these lifestyle sessions because with the first one people demanded more. “The audience described it as one of the coolest and nobble leisure events which are both fun and inspiration at the same time,” he said. They are looking at inviting most influential professional development speakers and DJs and eventually have it broadcast on television since they are committed to making sure that it becomes one of the great lifestyle events in Gaborone.
