Mariot Cafe in Block 6, Gaborone this week unveiled its new refurbished and upgraded look to the cream of the city’s business and politically connected people. There is the common area and a closed VIP section which is very intimate, and can only house a few who want to have their private moments while at the cafe without having to mix with the rest of the people. Vincent Kowa – the Café’s Marketing Manager – said they will restrict their offering to the new menu. The menu has an array Setswana traditional food, and even the popular ginger beer which the guests can also indulge in. With the kind of guests that were invited for the re-launch it was very clear that the spot can be an exclusive one for the busy men and women who would prefer a quiet relaxing place. The walls and interior furniture of the restaurant have been revamped, now offering a cleaner, mature and classy look.
