‘Get in lit’ brand launches

‘Get in Lit’ Clothing brand was recently launched at Sky Lounge drawing in trendsetters and influencers alike. The brain behind the line, Neo Maruatona said his brand is a discovery of city senses of style derived from the world ‘Lit’ which means on point. According to Maruatona, his entire brand is all about being on point and stylish. He was just impressed by the word that started rolling on people’s mouths everywhere and that triggered the appeal for him and Edwin Molatise to make sure that they craft something that would relate to today’s community lifestyle. “We made the brand with a motive to keep trending with different kinds of style encompassing sportswear, street wear and urban wear,” he said. Maruatona believes their brand will enhance lifestyle in terms of clothing, community, social responsibility and sports development because they know that everyone wants to look good. He said their motive is to make sure that everyone looks good. Maruatona said though home grown, they want to penetrate international markets and expand worldwide. “We know that with time we can be a household name and we will create trendy outfits that will not only be worn by locals but the quality will see us crossing borders,” he said. Maruatona said the feedback has been overwhelming, and they are sure to grow everywhere they go. He said quality, creativity, uniqueness and style is what is key to a successful and valuable product to their customers. He said everything is done locally starting with the brainstorming and creative aspect of it, with the style and patterns influenced by the natural resources in Botswana. They are hoping that with the help of Brand Botswana, Botswana Investment and Trade Centre, Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), Global Expo and Botswana National Sports Commission they can go very far because those entities are always looking for products that are home-grown and have the quality. He said their community projects are directed towards empowering women in sports. They plan to have the annual event that will bring African artists and Botswana artists together in order to build the spirit of togetherness as a brand and as a nation with other international people.
