Amazing Services will on August 19 host a Fun Brunch at Molapo Piazza where the participants will find themselves taking part in katabo, zumba, rocking in heels dance, pilates, wellness talk, health screening, healthy food preparation and health talk by experts. The organisers say the event is open to everyone who is over the age of 16. They aim to bring about fitness parties to showcase that exercising is fun, informative and is an interactive platform. They hosted the first outdoor spinnathon at a cycling event which the President Ian Khama took part in last year. One of the organisers Thato Mahube said they will be introducing the rocking in heels dance workout which is totally new to the Botswana market. “This exercise was created by the innovative Nkateko Maswanganye popularly known as Takkies, who has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 9. She had a burning passion for fitness and dance so she decided to fuse the two and came up with rocking in heels. This has seen her appear on high profile stages such as the television show - So You Can Dance, Idols SA, MTV Music Awards, FIFA World Cup ceremonies, Channel O music video awards and the Viva Concert in London,” she said. Mahube encouraged local ladies to attend and have fun. Among local instructors Bicky Motingwa will be doing katabo - a choreographed self-defence moves which include a lot of kick boxing. She said they are bringing experts because they believe that information is power.
