Huawei Botswana’s Jiang Sheng says they are aggressively working on connecting as many Batswana as possible by offering them full service with their various products. He said they also want the Consumer Business Group which focuses on gadgets like smart phones and tablets to be more developed. He said the consumption is good in Botswana but the only thing that hinders progress is the small market due to a small population. He said they are focused in research to ensure they offer the best services. They are about to launch the Mate 10 – an upgraded version of the Mate 9. “It will be even smarter, with enhanced features that will blow you away,” he said. He said the phones will use the artificial intelligence technology, which has been absent in other smart phones. He said with the iPhone 8 launching on September 12, they are looking forward to the comparison news as from the beginning of October and they are not shaken because they know that their phone offers luxury and convenience. He said they continue to do everything to remain at the top as the best ICT company in the world. In terms of market share, they want to move from position three to a higher one. “Since 2012 we have been the best ICT Company globally, and we will keep it that way,” he said. Sheng said their biggest competitor is the Korean giant Samsung and as Huawei they are always the leader in the China market. He said they are happy with how they are penetrating the Middle East, Europe and ad African markets and that is because they offer quality at very affordable prizes when compared to their competitors. He said Batswana who love beautiful gadgets with affordable luxury are looking forward to the launch of the Mate 10.
