ThabieD upbeat about future

She promises to be a powerhouse in the fashion industry both at home and abroad. Thabiso Dibeela of ThabieD Creations is setting the bar high as a local fashion designer not only with her designs but also with the administration part of the business. Dibeela recently became the first Motswana to take part at the esteemed Accra Fashion Week 2017 – an exceptional fashion show for leading designers from all over the world including buyers. It is a platform that Dibeela appreciated especially that she wants to take her brand out to the world. She has learned a lot from the Ghana fashion industry. “There is so much that I learnt from Ghana which we can use at home because in Ghana they make their own material and not only focused in the making of clothes but each and every aspect of it,” she said. She said with the event having opened many doors for many designers all over the world, she is very sure that she has equally benefited. She said the whole trip was a very important learning curve for her. Her approach to doing business will be totally different going forward. “I am forever grateful for the media because they helped grow this brand and they continue to help it grow every day,” she said. Dibeela honoured media houses and other partners with framed certificates and toasted to the keenness of the growth of her brand.
