Fashion is something she is over zealous about. And hence Othusitse Sebonego has worked very hard to ensure her dreams were realised.
There is nothing that makes her happy than enhancing people’s looks and seeing that they are happy. “Beauty is our passion, if we are able to touch any person and make them look beautiful and elegant we are happy,” she said.
Sebonego emphasized that there is no doubt about the extent as to which clothes make people feel even on a personal basis. “We know what happens on the inside when we feel good and when we look good and we know what all that does to our self-esteem and confidence, we always feel on top of the world,” she said.
She recently launched the classy and sophisticated boutique with an all-round contemporary feel named His and Hers.
Sebonego said in launching the boutique she drew the inspiration from nature – the game drives, the Okavango delta and the caves.
As to how she sources her stock, Sebonego said she is an avid traveler and whenever she travels all over the world she makes sure that she looks for unique clothing that she can bring home.
“If you ask me how I select things, all I can say is that it all comes from within. When I see something and it speaks to me I know it will speak to someone else but I am sure that I am not always right but all I know is that everyone wants to look beautiful,” she said.
Having surveyed the local market, she is aware that when it comes to quality, elegance and style they are up there. She called on ladies to rock winter with style by wearing cool winter ladies’ jackets, caps, tracksuits and boots while at the same time getting the young ones formal winter outfits and poll necks.
She said being a family woman, she included men and kids section in the shop so that families can all come together, making His and Hers a one-stop shop for all. Sebonego said: “let your boots steal the show and embrace fur where you can because it makes you standout. Do not be afraid to experiment because you may eventually become a layering pro. I am not a scarf person but with a long winter coat it can look good.”
