Creative Borders' is an organisation from the United States that aims to bring Arts Education to underdeveloped communities around the world. They offer free workshops designed for people of all ages with a focus in Dance, Drama, and Music. Creative Borders’ assembles teams of professional artists that come together to teach with the aim of developing an individual’s unique sense of expression. The 2018 Botswana Project team is made up of five Artists. Austin Reynolds, Executive Director, founded the organisation while attending The Juilliard School and is currently a dancer with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet in the United States. Amanda Bouza, Artistic Director, is a dancer and recent graduate of The Juilliard School. Darryl Daughtry Jr (Actor), Sean Lammer (Dancer), and Bianca Norwood (Actor) are all Teaching Artists for Creative Borders and current students of The Juilliard School. The organization first came to Gaborone, Botswana in 2016, and is now completing its third consecutive Project here. As a way to showcase the culmination of the hard work and dedication from our participants, the program ends with performances in Maitisong Theatre on June 27th and 28th (Students Free, Adults P50) at 7:30pm.
