MSH launches 2018 Fashion Show

Masa Square Hotel launched its 2018 Fashion Show and Fashion Mentorship programme under the riveting theme: Fashion in the Digital Age. The business-first hotel opened their initiative year with a night of swank, great food and great wines on June 14, 2018. This is the hotel’s fifth season of the renowned fashion show and the Hotel’s second year running of the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Programme.

The Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Programme is the first of its kind in Botswana, and the first to be hosted by a hotel. The programme will see seven budding fashion designers mentored by seven professional Botswana designers.

MSH Sales and Marketing Manager, Neo Nkele said: “We are delighted to open the 2018 season of our show, which has evidently grown over the years and we are proud of our growth. We are even more excited to bring our second installment of the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Programme which now debuts Botswana’s rising stars in couture. Our theme for 2018 therefore is our way of upping the proverbial ante as a business-first operation to drive the relevant conversation about doing business in the digital age because the Botswana consumer today is exceptionally smart-technology savvy. Our theme challenges our fashion team and ourselves to mesh traditional with modern perspectives and we look forward to bringing to Gaborone a thrilling show.”

The mentorship programme commences on June 18th 2018 and finales at the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Show 2018 where both professional mentors and mentees will showcase their latest collections. The acclaimed Botswana fashion spectacle is billed for October 20th 2018. The famous seven mentors for this year’s 2018 initiative are as follows: Botho Chalegbwa of Botocy Designs; Lesedi Matlapeng of Kefseddy Designs; Tlamo Mosinyi of Bondphill; Dikatso Motlapele & Anita Molosiwa of Eccentric Style Loft; Candida and Wedu Montsho of DihDah; Tankiso Mathware of Priestly; and Delayna Scott of Delayna Scott  Designs.
