Boitshepo Mack launches poetry anthology

Boitshepo Mack is a 23- year-old author of a book called “Dare to Become”. Born in Selibe Phikwe and raised in Molepolole, she is currently studying Network Security and computer forensics at Botho University.

‘Dare to Become’ is her first book yet to be followed by a series of other books in the coming years. She is a poet and performer. Mack has recited poems during the launch of ‘The peril f a saint’ at the Fashion without Borders event in 2016. When she is not writing, she engages in community voluntary work.


Book synopsis  

‘Dare to Become’ is a poetry anthology that speaks volumes, especially to young is a book written to a person in their state of becoming. It portrays how the process of becoming the best version of yourself unfolds. This anthology touches on every aspect of becoming and blooming into a holistic being. Some of the poems speak on depression; an issue that is not spoken about enough but continues to destroy and claim lives by the day. The poems encourage youngsters to be content with whom they are while striving for excellence, hence the author wrote a poem called “I wear my scars with pride”.


The launch

The launch date is on the 20th July 2018 at Cresta President Hotel in Gaborone. This event will be graced by people of significance and charisma. Our speaker line up consists of Miss Gaona Nketso Dintwe ,media personality and executive producer of Gaonalive productions and Mr. Boago Ramogapi of Royal assembly ministers  also known as coach B.F Rams who brought the renowned and charismatic Bishop T.D Jakes last year September. As this book speaks of a person in their state of becoming the launch will be graced by individuals who are deemed as role models in different aspects.
