One of Botswana’s music superstars Olebile ‘Maxy’ Sedumedi will on August 4 host her own – One Night with Maxy show – at the Tlotlo Conference Centre. The event is also dubbed ‘Kalahari meets the Universe’ – referring to her stable and her roots as she is popularly known as Queen of the Sands.
Maxy is currently signed under the Universal Studios in South Africa.
The One Night with Maxy is organised by Medumo Entertainment, which recently hosted “One Night with Motlha’ show.
Followers of the veteran artist will have the chance to be treated to her incredible array of songs that made Batswana fall in love with her. She has over the years dominated in corporate event space as an artist of choice at most of their events.
Apart from Maxy being the main act the event will also be graced by some of the most exceptional vocalists in the likes of South African diva and pop sensation Kelly Khumalo, Johnny Mokhali, Banjo Mosele, Mafitlhakgosi, Freddy Gwala and Mungu Africa.
Maxy said it is important for Batswana to come to the show to see her sing their favourite songs both old and new at a very intimate session.
“I am very excited about this show and I can promise that it will be insane because the rehearsals have been amazing and we can’t wait to have a great time with Maxy lovers,” she said.
She said what makes her songs great is because they are timeless. The event is will only cater for 600 people.
