Moshaga leads BOMU Interim Committee

Following intervention by the Registrar of Societies and subsequently the Arbitration Committee of the Registrar of Societies, as chaired by Festinah Bakwena, regarding the past immediate Annual General Assembly of the Botswana Musicians Union, it was found that; there have been irregularities both in preparation and during the past immediate BOMU elective Annual General Assembly.

The Arbitration Committee has thus issued a verdict that annulled and disbanded the BOMU Executive Committee. The verdict from the Arbitration Committee has also instructed that an Interim Committee chaired by Taolo Moshaga be formed to manage, coordinate and administrate the Botswana Musicians Union until August 2019. 


The Interim Committee shall amongst other things continue with existing projects and programmes of BOMU, partnerships and networks, existing contractual agreements, set up the BOMU District Chapters and prepare for an elective General Assembly, which will be held on or before August 2019. 

The Interim Committee has vowed to serve diligently and with outmost care and attention to ensure that all duties and obligations as directed by the verdict are completed within the set time frames. The formation of the Interim Committee which has representatives from both the applicants and the respondents composes of seven people namely; Taolo Moshaga, Pagson Ntsie, Phemelo Lesokwane, Rasina Winfred Rasina, Otsile Ramorwa, Nkgopolang Tlhomelang and Letsweletse Moshabi.
