A Matsha student who was hospitalised in South Africa has died, taking the death toll from a road accident that occurred last month to eight. Seven others had died immediately following the truck accident. “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of one of Matsha student who was sent to South Africa for medical attention. The student died on Saturday at Olive Dale Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. The deceased was sent to South Africa on the 3rd of December 2015.
Arrangements are currently underway to bring the deceased back home. Currently we have 1 student in ICU and 8 others at various wards. We received two more students from Bokamoso and Gaborone Private Hospitals since last week. Another student is still hospitalized in South Africa. The students were admitted at PMH with various injuries including head injuries, bruises, laceration and fractures among others,” said Donnell Kutlapye, spokesperson for Princess Marina Hospital
