New Era responds to students’ unrest

Below is a full statement from the New Era College regarding the student unrest at the school.

“New Era College management wishes to inform the public and all stakeholders of the recent unrest at the college. Efforts to address concerns raised by the student representative council are on-going. It is unfortunate that while measures were being taken to resolve student concerns, commotion and unrest ensued, resulting in intervention by the botswana police service to protect lives and property. The college management is eager to continue engaging the src in conjunction with its stakeholders, until all concerns raised are resolved within the agreed time frame. The college management wishes to extend its sincere apologies to the community for the inconveniences caused during the unrest”.
