Two hundred of Gaborone’s most impassioned TEDx enthusiasts will come together on Friday, 31st March 2017 at Maitisong theatre for a full day of networking and dialogue around the theme Transcendence. A diverse line-up of 16 speakers and high calibre artistic performers will fully embody, uniquely interpret and creatively unpack topics ranging from disruptive innovation, poverty, unemployment, job creation, education innovation, healing, science dance, song, blindness, identity, death, and an array of other pertinent subjects. The independently produced event, operated under a license from TED, is organized by community volunteers and is aimed at creating powerful dialogue as well as giving people a forum to share their passions, ideas and experiences in an untethered manner. The event will offer the Gaborone community an opportunity to share its passion and ideas with communities in Botswana and the rest of the world.
