Some 870 students drawn from the Institute for Development Management’s (IDM) Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland campuses graduated with various qualifications in a ceremony hosted in Gaborone on Friday. They received diplomas and degrees in various disciplines like project management, supply chain management, Business Administration, Educational Management and Public Health. In challenging the graduands to face life head on, the Regional Director of IDM, Richard Malikongwa urged them to rise above any problem. “Stand up and be counted. ‘Investment is self-driven; if no one invests in you, invest in yourself. If no one believes in you believe in yourself. Never be discouraged, give everything you’ve got. Pursue a game changing life – behave and think like a game changer, populate your head with best ideas, books, conversations and on what is working not what is not working. As soon as you pursue your dream, your life wakes up and everything has a meaning – Barbara Sher’. He said IDM is an institution with a strong local and regional presence, a strength that gives them a better advantage to compete in the market. “We are indeed proud to be associated with the growth of our three nations by helping them to be where they are today,” he said.
