Friday the 31st August saw the official opening of the new CIPA offices in Francistown. “The opening of the new Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) office opens up a new space for commitment and importance, designed to meet the increasing and expectations demand.The Physical transformation and modernization of CIPA’s new office bears a strong resemblance to the transformation that CIPA is about to experience in a short period,” said Isaac Raphutse, the Branch Manager of CIPA Francistown Office giving welcome remarks. He said from humble beginnings CIPA has grown in size and importance gradually establishing itself as a locally, nationally, regionally and globally recognized and quality assurance authority for entrepreneurs and intellects.
In a keynote address CIPA board member Ngele Ngele,said the opening of the Francistown branch office is a key milestone achievement for the CIPA board and it’s management, who at inception of the authority, undertook through their strategic plan, 2020-2015 to secure proper accommodation for all its branches. On the strategic location of the new CIPA premises as well as the advantage of the new offices being located so close to town, Ngele said the new premises offer improved accessibility and efficiency of service.
Giving a vote of thanks Conductor Masena, the Registrar General of CIPA , thanked shareholders, particularly the Ministry of Investment Trade and Industry for availing the funds to make the project a reality.
