Political analyst Lesole Machacha says the promising start of opposition talks should be maintained to achieve a strong coalition.
Machacha said the first cooperation talks resolutions should be executed well, cautioning parties to avoid conflicts.
"It is a crucial moment for all the parties in UDC especially BCP and BNF to avoid unnecessary quarrels.BNF and BCP must iron out pending issues in the UDC," he said.
Moreover, he said the parties resolution to work in joint caucuses is a good step.
He added that the big brother mentality by one of the UDC partners should be dealt with in effort to win AP and BPF support.
The three opposition parties unity talks started on a high note yesterday.
The opposition coalition Umbrella for Democratic Change ( UDC) convened unity talks with Botswana Patriotic Front and Alliance for Progressives ( AP).
Briefing the media on the outcomes of the talks, Dr Magaret Nasha said all went well.
She noted the three parties have resolved among others to work together on the bye elections.
Dr Nasha, who is also the Chairperson of Opposition Cooperation forum talks, said there will be a People's Court next weekend.
"The parties agreed that there be a People's Court. The evidence on rigging of 2019 elections will be shared with the nation and the international community," Dr Nasha added.
