For the first time the Botswana Motorcross team will take part in the All Africa Nations Championships set for August 28 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Team Botswana Captain Ross Branch revealed that they are going to take part in this competition for the first time after getting an invitation. The team has been invited based on their recent performances at international competitions where they proved to be a strong team. Some 25 athletes are due to make the trip to Harare. “From now onwards we will be at every All Africa Nations Championship competitions and we can’t be happier,” he said.
He said the team that will be going there looks very good and that they will be participating in all the categories from small bikers to older ones. He said the fact that they have a full team to participate with in their first competition shows just how ready they are for the championships. He said to be at these competitions means a lot since there is a qualification process to be able to take part in those, which is why Botswana has not been participating in the past years. Branch expressed his confidence on the team even though they will be taking part in the competition for the first time.
