The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has appointed Basadi Akoonyatse to the position of Acting Vice President – Administration.  Akoonyatse will hold her new position in the BFA up to July 2016 when the association will elect new members of the NEC. Akoonyatse takes the position from Susie Montsho who also held it on an acting basis. When explaining this BFA Chief Executive Officer Kitso Kemoeng said Akoonyatse’s appointment was done in accordance with articles 9.64 and 9.65 of the BFA constitution. Kemoeng said a unanimous decision was made by all executive committee members to appoint her to the position.

Akoonyatse first joined the BFA in 2012 as an additional member of the National Executive Committee (NEC).  Prior to this, she served for a number of years as Chairperson of BFA Medical Committee.  She was also head of the medical desk at the Botswana Africa Youth Games Organisation Committee (BAYGOC) secretariat.
