Botswana’s determined and seasoned bodybuilder Gontse Sechele has managed to get position three at the World Championships. The only thing that stood between him and getting his pro card, the judges told him, was the muscle maturity because the other two athletes before him have been in the game for a long time. Among the countries that were taking part were Brazil, India, UK and Iran. He said that he was very impressed about the line-up and his performance because it showed that he was good despite having muscles that were not mature.

“Both guys have been in the game for long, but my body proportion and conditioning was on point. They were very impressed,” he said. He said he will work on his weaknesses for the next World Cup that he has qualified for in Florida, USA in 2016. He is due to compete in the Mr Botswana competitions on November 21st. After that Sechele will then get off-season for about four months. Botswana Body Building and Weightlifting Federation (BBWFF) Secretary General Alex Rankgwe hailed Sechele for raising the Botswana flag high.
