Goledzwa football tourney back

Tutume will host the Goledzwa football tournament during the Christmas holidays where the winner will walk away with P12 000. Marketing Manager for the event Christopher Nyanga revealed that the money raised in the tournament will go towards their social responsibility activities as the people of Tutume. Funds will assist in the Leobo project which is aimed at building a good house for the Kgotla. He said that some of the proceeds from the tournament will also go towards buying food for the patients that will be at the hospital. Teams from different Kgotlas will contend for the title.

Nyanga said that they chose football because it is loved by many and is capable of bringing entertainment while at the same time making money out of it. He said that their aim is also to bring the youth of the area under one roof. “We should not forget our CSR obligations to help our village advance further,” he said. He said there will be Miss Goledzwa football tournament where they will crown someone that the youth can look up to. The sponsors of the tournament are companies from Tutume and those owned by Tutume-born business people around the country.
