Wells men’s team has gone 12 games unbeaten in the ongoing BOFINET league this season and is now fancying its chances of winning the title. Team Manager, Gontlafetswe Batsetswe, declared that they are fighting with all to land the ultimate league prize.
Batsetswe said that their intention is to win all. At the moment they will be gearing up for the Top 8 which has four teams from the north and four teams from the south. According to Batsetswe, even though there are good teams from the north that they will be competing with, they just want to continue winning all the games. Their tough challenge is BDF IX who are placed second on the log table.
“BDF IX also had a clean sheet, but when they met with us we showed them that we wanted it more than they did and we overcame them,” he said. Wells women’s team is the defending champion and currently sits at position four. Batsetswe said the reason the team is not performing well is because they lost very important players due to maternity leave. They have now stabilised the team. Batsetswe believes that they can be able to progress and defend their championship, and as such they are putting in more work at their trainings. “Collectively as a team if we work together then we can be able to do it,” he said.
Meanwhile Police IX Team Manager Adolph Malope said that they are always training hard to make sure that they get away from the disease of always getting position two and not clinching the crown. Malope said with the women team leading the pack from the South they want to work hard to win the league.
