Mascom Wireless has announced P184, 741.00 sponsorship for Mascom Cycle Challenge; a cycling event hosted in partnership with Tsela Riders Cycling Club. The challenge will take place on September 4, 2016 and aims to attract over 300 participants to compete in three categories - 120 km, 60 km and 20 km and the latter being for fun riders. Mascom Chief Marketing Officer, Dzene Makhwade-Seboni said as a title sponsor their main mandate is to grow participation in cycling as a sport and provide a platform for cyclists who are at different levels of professionalism to challenge themselves in the race categories available. This is Mascom’s second involvement with the race with the inaugural one having attracted 207 riders. This year the organisers are targeting a bigger number. “We hope this sponsorship will go a long way in assisting Tsela Riders to hold a world class event and also to reach as many cycling enthusiasts as possible to encourage them to sign-up in their numbers,” said Seboni. The Mascom Cycle Challenge route will be from the Airport Junction going all the way to Rasesa and back using the A1 highway.
