The Zebras are set to play Angola on September 30, 2016 – day Botswana celebrates her Golden Jubilee.  The game will be played at the National Stadium. Botswana national team was initially to play against The Super Eagles of Nigeria on the said day. However, Botswana Football Association (BFA) settled for Angola after they were advised by the BOT50 committee on the account of budget for the game. Apparently the committee felt playing Nigeria was going to be more costly. Information from BFA Chief Executive Officer Kitso Kemoeng revealed that the team is scheduled to report for camp a week before the match date. Coach Peter Butler is expected to announce the team to face Angola very soon. This game comes shortly after the Zebras bowed out the AFCON qualifiers after losing 1-2 to Burkina Faso.
