Orapa at the top

Orapa United ascended to the summit of the BTCL Premiership over the weekend after beating Extension Gunners 2-0. The win saw the Orapa based outfits jumping over Gunners to get to the top of the log table with 12 points. With 11 points, Gunners now fell three posts to position 4. In position two are defending champions Township Rollers with 11 points. Rollers walloped Green Lovers 5-1 on Saturday. A zero-all draw against GU was enough for BDF XI to maintain the third spot with 11 points as well. Mochudi Centre Chiefs, on the other hand, continued its disappointing run this season when they lost 1-2 to Sankoyo Bushbucks. Sankoyo’s win took them to position 5 on the log with 10 points. In Jwaneng, Galaxy pulled a 2-1 win over Nico United to move a step up the log. Just like Chiefs, Galaxy have had a slow start this season. In other results, Security Systems beat Gilport Lions 2-1; Black Forest and Police played 1-1 while Miscellaneous beat Mahalapye Hotspurs 2-1.
