The Maun-based outfit Sankoyo Bush Bucks management has dismissed claims suggesting that their newly appointed head coach Dragojlo Stanjolvic is threatening to resign from his position as head coach. The Sankoyo spokesman, Phemelo Saleshando has insisted that their head coach is not resigning.  “Drago is still with us he is not leaving”, Saleshando said.  Saleshando said Drago is a passionate person who doesn’t want to lose or draw as he only wants a win. He said following the remarks made by Drago – that he might leave - they had a meeting with him and explained the whole situation to him. “In fact we had a fruitful meeting with Drago as he also discussed the long term plan with the team,” he adding that they had a long term plan with Drago. Drago made shocking remarks after Sankoyo lost to Mahalapye Hotspurs saying he is resigning from his position because the Sankoyo management has not been paying his salary as per the agreement. Another reason for Drago to threaten to resign is that some of the players in the team misbehave because they are not paid well and hence come to training late. Saleshando admitted that they have not been paying the coach and players as per the agreement. “We don’t have a constant revenue stream and if we have the money we allocate a certain percentage to salary and some for expenses such as transport and accommodation,” he said, confirming that they owe the coach and players their monthly salary.
